You could do a Multi-Column report. Place an Account Summary report in one section with just your selected accounts. Place a Transaction Report in another section, again, with selected accounts, sort by Account as PrimaryKey, and play with the Display tab to remove clutter as desired. Then

I think these numbering conventions have been in place almost as long as Microsoft has used local time for time stamps in MS-DOS. I think they should not be abandoned until the respective media are abandoned. On Mon, Nov 28, 2022 at 4:32 PM William Prescott wrote: > While I agree that 4.01, 4.0

While I agree that 4.01, 4.02, ... 4.10, 4.11, 4.12 would be more rational, in fact it is traditional or at least extremely common in version numbering to use: 4.1, 4.2,... 4.9, 4.10, 4.11, 4.12 etc. In fact, 4.01 would have different implications about the nature of the release than 4.1. 4.01

I also do what Andren does, but I do see your point. However, I find that GnuCash remembers previous entries, and suggests them, so once I have entered "Some Vendor", once I get to whatever is unique (So, perhaps), it prompts for the entire name. This helps keep the vendor names consistent. On Mo

This brings up a good point; perhaps GnuCash should always use two-digit numbering; instead of 4.1, 4.2,... 4.9, 4.10, 4.11, use 4.01, 4.02,... and so on. That way, people won't confuse 4.1 and 4.10 (or think that 4.2 is newer than 4.12 because 4.2 is a bigger number than 4.12). On Sun, Nov 27

I was about to reply the same. I've never had an issue in many years of using GnuCash because I start typing a Payee/Payor and Autofill keeps my fingers/brain from flubbing the remainder. If Autofill appears to not be 'responding' as I type someone I've entered many times before, that's a sure
