Glad to hear you are liking 5.3! I originally played with 2.4.x way back
in the day, but never became a serious user until the midst of 2.6. The
app has improved significantly since then, with several very
'productivity oriented' improvements. I look forward to the continued

This is probably happening because the COP -> USD exchange rate is so
small (0.000243884 right now). Some versions of GnuCash stored the
reverse conversion if the forward conversion is too small. More recent
versions no longer do that. What version are you using?

My base currency is USD.
After doing Tools: Price database: Get Quotes,
I see that EUR, GBP, and THB all have today's prices.
But not COP. There are entries for COP up until around 07/18/2023.
However, under USD, there is an entry for COP
