Thanks for the response. Licensing is incredible difficult when you get down to practical detalis. Rephrasing the question: * Is a exception to a license acceptable for Google Code? * Any situation where the license is seen other than the project front page, requiring the license to be unmodified

If additional permissions are not allowed, LGPL would be the viable option. However, the LGPL version is not specified for Google code. I am not sure what that means legally as LGPL v2.1 is not fully compatible with LGPL v3 (you need to convert the license in some situations) http://www.gnu.org/li
