Hi, I want to write a desktop client for checking the amount of
updated waves/blips. Any way to do this?
For example, I want the following output
22 blips (1 wave)

This problem exists. And I reported it several times over several
weeks. But its still not fixed.
At early October's Office Hours Marcel Prasetya says: "This is a bug
due to String.split() behavior in Java. I have a pending fix for
this."
I met such a recommendation to workaround this problem - u
Is it possible to get a list of all the XHTML entities that are
supported? They are not listed in the documentation. The reason I'm
asking is because I tried the most basic element (text.appendMarkup
("Some Text")) and it is supposed to append a block-level
element. This should circumvent any n
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to create an iframe gadget
that would allow one to insert a scrollable website within a wave.
Here's an example of one that I've recently seen.

I'm getting an "Oops. We were unable to load this extension." error.
The gadget is just a simple GWT button loaded with javascript deployed
from app engine (you'd think Google would tune it's stack a little
better, but this is all new stuff I guess).

I am not certain that is doable right now for a number of reasons.
First of all, wave is not a stand alone entity but it exists within
the scope of a wave server and client.
If you are talking about including a wave from Google server, the only
way can do it is by using Embed API, which is not w
Spelly isn't working for me. I have tried on multiple occasions and I
don't get autocorrected on wavesandbox or on wave preview. Is it
working for anyone else?

Alan Green, thank you too and your username suggestions are
amusing. :)
But I still I have the same feeling as Trejkaz: a new domain itself is
contradictory to the claim to remain one network identity. In order to
wave you, people have to remember your new wave address anyway:
do you have any invites?
good luck!!

Think I found the answer to my own question via your previous link:
http://code.google.com/apis/gdata/articles/gdata_gadgets.html
seems wiser to use OAuth instead of AuthSub.
Cheers!

Well no luck implementing that code. Even if I load the authsub in the

Thanks for that. I have decided to build something in ruby (because I
understand that best) that simulates the BASIC effect I want, then
speak to a friend about turning it into python and adding the wave
functionality latter.

Hi,
you are facing a non-trivial synchronization problem. A lock is always a big
problem in distributed systems
because if the lock owner leaves, you can only recover using timers.
Furthermore, how do you select who maintains the rules? This ends up being a
distributed consensus problem.

Always add &hl=en at the end of the URL and it should work.

I'm trying to get a robot to clean up a wave by deleting a number of

Austin: thanks; that does work. The problem is, as far as I can tell,
if you start with a blip that is already annotated all the way to the
end (e.g., there is an annotation on the last character), there is no
way to append text without expanding that ending annotation.

Hi maxsap,
gadgets written in GWT also run in Google Wave. I've written a gadget and
found one rough edge: BWT RPC doesn't work from within gadgets due to some
specific technical problems. I replaced the GWT RPC with JSON RPC and now it
works.
Tell me your Wave or Sandbox username and I will send
