I’ve needed the same sort of thing — we use NHC to check for FS status and
we’ve had cases that we were not able to detect because they were in this
“Stale file handle” state. GPFS doesn’t always seem to behave in the way Linux
would expect.

Nope, that appears to be all of it. I also had a problem with the postgresql
service, which was why the gpfsgui wouldn’t start. But once I fixed that, I can
log in on https://:8443.
