Hi,
quite long silent on this ML, I give my two cents to this very prolific
topic ;-)
Objectively : at such a high stage of maturity GRASS project clearly
lacks a robust graphical identity; a "corporate charter" is perhaps a
bit pedantic but it would be nice to lay down some guidelines for GRASS

I would like to add a +1 about how elegance helps adapting and eventually
adopting.
This is certainly to add to the group of discussions on user workflows and
user efficiency designs.

This is a nice range of examples. QGIS has consistently put effort into
designing spash/intro screens, with very good results. It conveys a sense of a
professional product that is well-designed overall. Never flashy, but very
classy.

In fact, wxPython for Mac at least, doesn’t look very Mac like. The windows
versions I’ve seen don’t look particularly close to the current version of
Windows either. This is unsurprising since wxPython focuses on cross-platform
functionality. It needs to work the same across multiple platforms.

I disagree. The baseline dataset should be a subset of the full
dataset. The names in the baseline dataset should be identical

for GRASS 7.0 I can imagine also RC3 but not more. In any case we are
in hard freeze period now.

It also depends on what the function is doing, for example if it is
outputting some map or time series, it could be a separate option.

Hi,
I am in need of i.spec.unmix,
I see there is some work done to replace libmeschach functions with GRASS
Matrix functions. Is there somebody working actively on that?
What is the road map for this module port to G7?
Thanks

Hi Vaclav,
I have replaced all but one (in i.spec.sam/open.c):
if (!flag_quiet->answer)
{
m_output(A);
}
tentatively replaced by:
if (G_verbose == 3)
{
m_output(A);
}
is that OK?
Thanks
