Martin,
attached is my grass.ico file. I cannot test it as I don't have any
windows OS here.
Layers are 8bit+alpha (non-compressed) deep.
Hope this helps,
Vincent.

Dear devs,
I saw the discussion on https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/ticket/2750#comment:48
Perhaps is time to think to release the next stable release of GRASS
before that the stable release and trunk start to diverge too much...
What do you think?

Hi Martin,
did you have a try with a square-layers icon file (i.e. for layer 1 :

Hello Luca
yes we've been working on that for several months now (see below latest
developments pointed out by Vaclav). And any advice or contribution is
welcome !
Regarding the online documentation, I'm not a crack of css, but the
effort to wrap up things in a visually coherent manner (e.g.

Hi ,
We are loading self made pseudo EPSG codes from IAU2000 in the Location
Wizard EPSG dialog.
It allows us to load our file, our proj4 description is accepted and the
dialog enables the "Next" button.
OK, OnClick the Next button, it tells:

Good point. Not having colon in the file name and vector name is actually a
good idea.

Hi Luca,
thank you for taking care of this. :)
Indeed, a colon ":" must be avoided in map names, since the layer of
vector maps are identified this way (time stamped tables).
I think your suggestion of using 2001-01-01T00.00.00 is a good solution.
Best regards

Vaclav,
You are right. The repository is somewhat inactive interms of commit and
the cmake part is still unfinished.
