problem in compiling glib/gtk+ with Cygwin. It does'nt work out
ACK. I'm slowly porting them to 2.4. Today I finally got
glib make check to complete without error. DLL exports,
charset issues and broken threading caused the most grief.

primarily with .NET in windows, but I wanted to try to port some of the code to
Linux and I thought mono/gtk+ might be a path, but it does not look promising.

I have the latest version of cygwin installed and I have
tried compiling the latest two versions of glib from the gtk.org site and get
the following compile error:
bash-2.05b$ /bin/bash ../libtool --mode=link gcc -g -O2
-Wall -o glib-genmars
hal.exe glib-genmarshal.o

Looking through the readmes with glib 2.0.4, it sounds like it should
compile under cygwin. Has anyone tested this?
