Suggestion, Create a second list

2000-03-21 Thread RSRBOB
Why doesn't someone that is interested create a second list, a trivia list of sorts, that could be a forum for idle banter and motorcycle related info that is not directly GTS? Then, those interested in social affairs have an appropriate place to meet and exchange.

Although I have never visited the Yahoo GTS chat room, I would assume this is where idle chat should take place. Grant Gall [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Why doesn't someone that is interested create a second list, a trivia list of sorts, that could be a forum for idle banter and motorcycle

As long as we keep subject headings accurate, with the word "fluff" when appropriate, this list seems pretty good to me. If you've been on any other list, you know that this one stays on topic and has far less traffic than most. It's the only one I can stand getting in other than digest form.

I would have to agree with Jay I am on 2 other email lists for my other bikes. The TDM list isn't bad about the same. But for some reason the R1 list is just full of fluff and ego bashing arguments. I would have to say we've got a good thing going here ! Darren

One more vote to not create another list. Yes, we get some amount of fluff, but yes, it is usually identified. As for traffic levels on the list, this one is pretty light. So much so that I often leave town for a few days without unsubscribing, knowing that my inbox will handle it. Try that

MityVac mighty cheap

For those who haven't or don't want to install those great bleeder valves, ordon't want to buy them for multiple bikes, the MityVac is supposed to be great. Well, I just ordered one because I found it for $10 (plus $5.97 shipping)! Try: http://www.actron.com/ And click on "garage sale"

GTS interchange parts list?

2000-03-21 Thread Dan Neuman
Hello All, It looks like I might actually own a GTS in the near future. The problem is, is that it will probably be bought at a salvage auction in less than pristine condition. Here's my question. Is there a list somewhere out there of what parts the GTS shares with other

Excellent price, you are such a shopper, Jay. I used a Mighty-Vac before I got my Speedbleeders and found it to be adequate but much slower. That must be a function of the long fluid circuit because it worked fine for my Sabre. Even with multiple bikes, I would recommend the Speedbleeders for

Gentlemen, I was not attempting to compare our list with other lists. I am terribly confident that the fluff on any given list is proportionate to the number of units sold/subscribers to the list. That having been said, does it change the fact that the original intent of the list was GTS

Well, perhaps not fluff, but personalities are a large part of at least my enjoyment of this list. There is so much cut and dried technical information to be shared. The pleasure of motorcycle riding can bleed over into other aspects and I don't mind. Just so long as it's identified. The
