Just a little note of caution. Don't let the gas filler cover fly
open too often, it will eventually break the hinge pin on the
left side. Found out the hard way.

Sven,
To each his own. I have not seen you on the list at all in quite awhile. I do
agree we are limited to the breadth of topics GTS related, but when two guys
are arguing the value a trip only one intends to take... such as happened
recently.. to me, it is useless, and inappropriate.
Not too much interchangable with the FZR 1000. Rear caliper, same rear
pads, rear swing arm, counter and rear sprockets, rear rim but w/o abs
pickup. Cylinder block, cases and trans, radiator maybe. Crank is different
as is the head, and cams. Compressions is lower but I don''t know if its

They were all good but as I remeber the tarriff '87 ? 700 cc model with
the 1/2 fairing was the one to have. I considered the same thing but no

If you need a front wheel, rear wheel, front arm parts, or that oil-window cover,
check out the sidecar builders.
These original parts are not found on mine GTS, so they must be somewhere.

Hi all- I have 55MB of pictures from the Death Valley trip
last weekend. I need a place to post 'em. Each shot is around
700k - 900k. They're 1600x1200, fine quality. (I'm not yet
adept enough with gimp to change the compression to make the
filesize smaller)
There's also a 6MB .AVI (which c
Maybe they'll show up on eBay. I thought of doing that myself!

They are great. I use 'em. The one listed doesn't seek to have the
entire kit though. The kit has tubing and a fluid catch-tank.

I had an '86 model and loved that bike ! I had even considered getting
one again but not now with a project bike in hand. Mine was good
handling and quick the longer wheelbase made it easier to get off the

I want it, it's mine.for a price! Does anyone on this list have any
comments or experiences with this model? From what I understand it was the
first "Genesis" five valve motor produced by Yamaha and it was a thriller.
Well BOB,
I for one enjoy the fluff; it's the only reason I stay subscribed to this mailing
list. If the only reason that I was interested in this list was for resolving
problems with my bike, I would subscribe only during those times that I needed
help. There are only so many maintenance rela
