I, myself alway use protective clothing and in general don't think it should
be a law to wear it because I think the freedom we have becomes less and
less. If every risk is arranged by law, in a couple off years we are not
allowed to sport, drive or come outside anymore.
But on the other hand
Could it be air comming trough the rubber hoses. The advise is to change
them after some years. I have teflon/steel lines and never have to bleed.

My rear brake loses pressure over about a two week span. I can find no

Seems so. I installed the new TPS in my bike and have taken it for a
ride. The bike accelerates much stronger than with the old TPS, and so
far things are looking really good. No off idle surging, no error
status 13, 15, and no cut in throttle. Even on the centerstand, I can

True enough. But only 6'2" (maybe a bit less) and most of my height comes

Well,
I can't say that Gilroy Yamaha can really be recommended
in the future for repair service, although it seems like they
are nice people and "kind of" know what they're doing. I'll
clarify that later.
I called customer service, got Jordan 2 days ago, and he
was actually not very nice
Did I say 4 ? I wanted to say 9 ;-)

Henry, I know a guy who sold these. This was in 1996, so the new phantoms
might be better, but the old ones did not work at all in the jamming mode. We
tested two of them with a police friend and he got a reading every time with no
problems. It is also against the law in most states to operate a

Bill ,
you are probably correct on this one .
I have always thought it was ( old dried up brake fluid )
because it was a yellowish colour before rubbing.
Anyway better out than in .
Thanks for the info.

Another thing to check is , are the two halves of the caliper bolted up
tight.
Also the 'O' rings in between the two halves , are in good state of repair,
but their probably ok , unless caliper was loose / stripped down alot.
