I am an occasional fisherman and I would recommend putting the foils in a soft case perhaps and using whats called a rod sling. I got one just for the purpose of being able to carry short (I am a surf fisherman so short for me is about 10.5 feet) fishing rods on the motorcycle I have not used it

Go to your local Plumbing & Heating store and buy yourself some ABS (or similar) pipe the OD and length you need. Get two socket weld x thread collars and two threaded caps. Glue the collars to the pipe and thread the caps onto the collars. You now have a lightweight and sealed tube to store yo
