Hi all.
Does anyone here have a set of IBM X41 recovery CDs that I could use?
I've recently had a hard disk die, taking its recovery partition with
it... :)
Failing that, is there any known way to reset the supervisor password?
Thanks

Hi all
How robust are floppy drives - both 3.5 and 5.25?
I'm about to throw away the first PC I ever owned (486DX40 - 2Mb RAM). The
only piece of kit I'd like to keep is the 5.25" floppy drive - I have a spare
drive bay elsewhere and no real need of 5.25" media it but you never know.

I typed in those commands and received exactly the same results as you.

Hi Ian
Do you have a specific model number for your laptop ? I believe a "D510"
is just the generic model no.
The reason I ask is that I have a battery for a D505 which has a battery
model number of C1295, but I don't know if they are the same as for a
D510. If they are you are quite welcome to it
Hi,
I am looking for a second hand laptop. Pentium 4 or Pentium-M or above.
Does anyone know of a good place to look?

Sorry, Paul, all I did was disable SELinux and set WEP encryption to 128 bit. I
doubt that has anything to do with your problem :-(

Well I'll go to the bottom of our stairs... I edited /etc/selinux/config (to

works with SELinux set to enforcing.

What did you have to do to get NetworkManager to play please? I have a similar

problem as I've seen references to similar behaviour in
