Hi,
+1 for the Blackberry Bold 2 (aka the Blackberry 9700).
I haven't tried using it as a modem yet but I'll give it a go and report back.
Cheers,
Paul.

I've just been banging my head against lurker (mailing list program we
use on hantslug) as it had stopped working.
I've diagnosed what's wrong, but have very little clue as to _why_.
The box runs exim as a mailserver and that runs as the Debian-exim user:

Hi
Whilst stuck behind an annoying proxy today, I figured out how to work

Some around here would dispute there is such a thing... :)

All done. Had to make a minor mod to the badge generator as PHP's
tempnam() now seems to return an absolute path rather than

I have a Nokia E63, kind of Blackberry clone. I quite like its
keyboard and can use it comfortably for txting and a little browsing
with its own browser. It pairs OK with my laptop running XUbuntu K but
I have not gone into trying to use it as a modem from there.

Just a heads up, I'm feeling brave^W foolhardy^W bored.
So I may well be upgrading the hantslug box this evening (etch to
lenny).
I wonder what will break I'll prepare some kit-kats just in case.

I'm looking around for a phone to replace my current model, a Sony
Ericsson v630i. I'd like one with a "keyboard" a la Blackberry; it's
also important for me that I can use it as a modem for my laptop &

A while ago I was creating a mapserver for a sister company, we shelved the
project but I recall GIS data that had what you need. It's often freely
available and road data files tend to have speed limits and road
classifications.
While I don't remember exactly where I go the data I had from, but

Hi
I have no idea where to start, but I'd like to display all of the roads in
the UK that are deristricted, but not motorways. The simple reason is that I
am a motorcyclist, and am frustrated with picking nice bendy roads on a map
to find they are all 30 or 40mph. There are a few 'best roads' site

I've been asked to get a netbook ( £300 - 400) with about 10in screen for
working on the move, doing the odd presentation (with projector) and
demo-ing a few web-based bits. Most netbooks on linux will happily be a
miniature, portable server but the samsung N210 has caught my eye, mainly
