Fair to good signals on 4049.96khz (3 x 1350khz). Running country western
music and slogan "Pure Country". plus they just gave the call letters KWMO.
AMLOGBOOK.COM lists them as "oldies", but that's what call they gave.

I crawled up from the basement listening post last night and did some antenna
comparisons with my box loop that I normally don't use (because it's deaf in
the basement). I compared my 3' box loop against a 85' wire that slopes up to
the top of a 70 ft oak tree. As has always been stated, vertic
ith telephone number and address given.

Pretty lousy copy with a 100h
At the 0736z silent period (carrier off for 30 seconds) I picked up a "Radio
Unica" or something and also a 400hz (or so) het.
Computer gives me a nasty het on 723, box loop has S7 noise.
Using the R71a and 55 ft vertical which has no noise at all ! Recording to
cassette.
Will check back later
WGN is scheduled for repairs tonight 0705z until 1000z tonight, 720khz. Best
chance for no carrier is later in the period.
I'll be loaded for bear on this one.

for transpacific hets. First het was 738khz heard at 0620z, weak ... then
1503khz first heard at 0650z, also very weak, both on my west EWE. QRN got to be

Just as announced, 1100khz WTAM, Cleveland, OH went off the air for scheduled
transmitter repair at 0506z this morning. I set the computer to record as I
was at work and heard what sounds like Radio Cadena Habana, Cuba with poor to
