from a female. Just a few words that were followed with flute music. This
is
followed by MOR music. Not much chatter following the beginning of the
music. Signal improved from a poor to a fair during the period.
Peru, 4810.00, Radio Logos, 0920-0945, Starting out with a threshold signal
and plenty of
noise, heard a steady stream of music. As the minutes passed however, the
signal improved
as traditional Peruvian ballads were heard. Settings used on the NRD545 to
pull in the
signal better were,
Guyana, 3290.00, Voice of Guyana, 0940-0950, At Tune, noted a male in
English language
religious comments. The male mentions Guyana once in awhile suggesting that
this is
a locally produced program. This continues as the signal remains at a fair

of
steady ballad type music . At 0921 noted a canned ID as, Santa Cruz,
Santa
Cruz ... en Radio Then music continued. Signal was good and strong.

Bolivia, 4699.91, Radio San Miguel, 0953-1005, Noted a very weak signal
with
music at tune in. At 0957 heard a male in Spanish language comments.
Unfortunately, the signal was just too weak to copy any significant details.

until 1021 when music is presented. Signal is fair but
rather muffled and not easy to copy.

Noticed a male in Portuguese
Peru, 6019.30, Radio Victoria, 1030-1045, Noted the
usual shouting and preaching
that this station broadcasts each morning it seems.
Caught it all rather late in
the morning, so the signal strength was poor. A
recheck at 1101 reveals the
preaching still going on. Signal was slightly better
than
Peru, 5039.40, Radio Libertad, 1010-1030, Of course
Cuba is on 5040; but being able to notch
Cuba out, Radio LIbertad is audible at a threshold
level. Noted a male in Spanish language
comments. The jest of the talk from Radio LIbertad
sounds political. But since the signal is
threshold, it's
Indonesia, 4870, RRI Wamena, 1134-1145, Noted a person
(believe it was female) in Indonesian
comments until 1136 when music is presented. Signal
was threshold but it was still encouraging
to hear Indonesia fading in to South Florida on this

Never heard an ID due to the fact that the music was
non-stop. After 1035, the
signal began to fade from a reasonably fair signal to

in, heard a male briefly
comment which was probably an ID, then a female
continue with news in
Indonesian language. At 1110, the male returns with
comments. This signal

There's a carrier on this freq which is
probably Santa Rosa. Unfortunately, I can't hear any
audio at this time. Possibly the
station has not come on the air yet? Regardless, I
thought I'd post this carrier for continuity.

Noted a slight trace of audio by 1008 however with a male in SP comments.
The

situations where the audio is muffled and the signal is very poor. It's

1046, noted canned promos or ADs. I recall that a few years

I wasn't recording at the time and am typing this from my recollection. At
0945 possibly a long discourse from the Russian President. After
Russia, 5900, Radio France International, (pres) 0945-1030, With this relay
via Irkutsk, Siberia, noted different males in Mandarin language comments.
Signal was good until 1000 when a buzz saw type signal came up blocking
RFI pretty successfully. I found this schedule listed in Passport and
Bolivia, 6075, Radio Kausauki Coca, (pres) 0950-1040, It's getting tough
to hear this station here. The freq is occupied with others and has back
ground noise inhibiting reception. Anyway, noted a male in Spanish language
comments at 0950 for a minute or two, then the signal faded out. At
Peru, 4835.49, Radio Maranon, 1005-1030, With typical Huaynos
music. At 1016, heard a canned ID while the music continued. At 1018, a few
canned promos then back to music. Signal remained poor during the period.
