You could also just use a static on the
internal network. The key to some security outside your firewall is setting up
the DMZ or port forwarding to only allow access to a list of external IPs. Not
many SOHO router/gateway/firewalls allow this. But if you have a cheap

Thanks for jumping in. I noted the discussion thread earlier this week,
but we moved offices this week, and I just did not have the time or

I suggested WorldVistA/Open VistA to him and he is interested.
Where is the CD image and does it work?
Is there an installation document?

Some of the newer routers have a feature to let you define a mapping of
the MAC address to a fixed IP. This way, your router will assign a
known IP when your computer connects to the router, without you having

the entries in this file? Does checking a patient out after an outpatient
visit create an entry in this file? If so, when I check-out a patient, I do
not see an IB action entry created. Does anyone know why?
Can anyone help
That is interesting. According to the GT.M Programmer Manual (chapter 9)
the virtual page length of a sequential file can be set using the LENGTH=
parameter. For example, LENGTH=80 would set the page length to 80 lines (to
agree with the IOSL value). You could try adding this to the OPEN

I finally got it. Thanks for the info! The G.GROUPNAME syntax had me
