Kevin,
Look at the web sites

Both of these companies sell PC's that consolidate data
from various lab instruments and transmit it to a Hospital Information

John,
Thanks for the info. It makes the whole process a lot clearer.
We are almost current on lab patches. After reading what the

One of the hidden gems I found while doing patching to our system was the support for zip+4 national database. The foia version stripped out the data but the license txt file mentioned the company CD Light and what proper version of the license to purchase. I'm curious - what is the mechanism for
I had a problem with the mailman listener (XMRONT). Once started, mail was received. However, after 20 minutes or so, Cache 5.0.7 hung. No one could enter, but if you were in, you could continue working. OpenVMS reported process slots were exhausted and a lot of jobs started by the mailman listen

but DSM let you pass in a parameter specifying the
network device. It doesn't appear Cache lets you do this.
I'm wondering if this has been solved, but just hasn't made it into the
documentation yet...

Hello,
We have a Data Innovations Instrument Manager interfaced to VISTA
via a serial line (uses routine HLLP). This setup has worked great for
years
until recently. It appears some noise has been introduced into the serial
