Any of those Linuxes should work. You can also use the OpenVistA VivA live CDs/DVDs to install Linux, GT.M and VistA in one fell swoop. On Morphix (basis for OpenVistA VivA 0.4), I believe there is a menu item to install. On Knoppix (basis for OpenVistA VivA FOIA Gold releases), in a shell,

So glad it helped! If you want, sign up for a login on the wiki and contribute to what is there, correct it, add to it clarify it. I just added the CPRS keys and tab assignment to the end of the configuration page. I am thinking of breaking the long file into relevant sections on the wiki.
