Just wondering what how long it generally takes for others to convert avi's to SVCD?
Currently I'm converting a BBC series "Wild Weather" into SVCD compliant PAL mpgs before
converting them to DVD with SVCD2DVD. Each avi is approx 1hr long (720Mb) and they're
taking me 2hrs each on a P4 2.8 with
I got a letter about this and just laughed and threw it in the trash.
If they win the class action lawsuit you get money... in the form of
rebates on Creative products. Hmmm let me think about this. You are
suing the company because they either lied to you or made a crappy
product, and yet you a
google showed this as a common problem with 6608, ( once I new what to search
for from the error report ) renaming nendgui.dll to .bak allows it to run but
as of yet untested on burning.

that is wierd... altho I do have all my DVD players to play right off

system... :)

Encoded the video in TMPGEnc, imported into DVD-Lab, authored and
burned from there. Verified the burn was okay by using Nero.
Here's the weird part. I set my DVD player to do MPEG Audio -> PCM
and voila, sound.
Maybe its something weird with the audio file. Dunno. I usually rip
the ac3 right

I just made a DVD and popped it into a set-top DVD player and it
played fine but with no audio. I put it in a PC and there is audio.
The audio file used is 16bit stereo PCM at 48khz, exactly what is
required by the format. Any ideas?

If it's within 4.7G, you need to use something like NERO, select disc type as
DVD-Video (it's a different book format then a DVD Data disc, which, even if
you have the right files will play in almost no settop player) and burn. Done.

DVD Shrink and Nero will do this easily. DVD Shrink will automatically run
Nero for the actual burn.

Someone sent me the entire VIDEO_TS directory from a DVD. How to I
burn this to make a workable, playable DVD? I *think* that all I need
to do is burn it as data, but I could be wrong. I got an 'advisory'
from Nero that if I did that, it would not be playable. What else
would I need to do? Ner

I thought this was just the codec. The software would pick up the treo
as an mp3 player kind of like and Ipod to Itunes.
