I will never, ever buy a Lite-On again. I bought one of their DVD
TV/Recorders. It died 5 days after the warranty expired and all I got from
them was 'aw too bad but there is nothing we can do about it'.

I can't think of the last dvd/dvdrw I had 'die' on me. Hell I've still got some
8x dvdrom liteons and 4x pioneer dvdrom slot loaders that still work
Odds are in a settop burner its not the drive that went bad but the capture
encoder

Well in my case it's the drive as I currently have/had 2 Plextor's in this
case and the 16X is still putting out CD's/DVD's without issue.
