Hi guys, I need some help here. I am posting this
under Graphics Technology, because I am mainly
concerned about graphics, but this question bridges to
CPU performance a bit too.
Okay, I have a Winchester A64 3000+ Which I can
overclock and have overclocked to 2.45Ghz. At that
speed it is stable a
Well, I don't have the exact same setup. What I can tell you is that I had
the same AMD chip running at 2.3Ghz on an Asrock ULi board and a P4
Northwood chip (supposedly faster and cooler than the Prescots, no?) running
at 3.2Ghz and the AMD runs circles around it on pretty much everything. The

Just had my Plextor 12X DVD die, each cd/dvd comes out with two small clouds
about an inch apart (same spots) after notified of write error. I assume
that the laser stops at some point fries that spot, moves on repeats step

SO THE QUESTION IS:
I can get a NEC for 1/3 or 1/4 t
No. I reallu like the liteon myself

Well NEC it is then,
I will never, ever buy a Lite-On again. I bought one of their DVD
TV/Recorders. It died 5 days after the warranty expired and all I got from
them was 'aw too bad but there is nothing we can do about it'.
So there is something I can do, and that is avoid their products like a
I bought a Plextor because it was the only brand making sata. I've had two
of them die on me so far. I'm waiting on the replacement from Plextor.

Odds are in a settop burner its not the drive that went bad but the capture

Well in my case it's the drive as I currently have/had 2 Plextor's in this
case and the 16X is still putting out CD's/DVD's without issue.
