Not only that, but Verizon has introduced, or is in the process of,
their own music download service. The iTunes phone directly competes
with that. It's highly unlikely that Apple would make a VCast compatible
version of the phone.
I'm still on the fence about wanting this phone. On one hand,
This phone is GSM so it won't work with Verizon anyways. They would
have to come out with a whole new phone that does CDMA. Not really
that hard, but it still another assembly line.
The iPhone has a full Safari web browser built in and should give as
good web access as any other device out
5 hours is fantastic.
My Razr only has like 120 minutes of talk time.
My old Nokia only had 180 minutes of talk..
Standby is 6-7 days though.

Well, here is the latest. It was a VLK license. Which means it was a
bootleg and I would need either a legit VLK to replace or buy it at
150. Since it's his money he will have to decide on 100 for XP home
and a reload or 150 for Pro. Hope he does for the 150. Sounds like a
cheap XP pro to me.

Specs are real use Neil?
Razr specs *say* up to 7 hrs/12 days, but only
delivers about 5/10 if
you have Bluetooth off.
No biggie, rev 1 product, I can wait a year for the
next version!

Seems to me that being able to get the antenna up in the air clear of
obstructions (with a USB box, for example) would offer the greatest chance
of at good connectivity. Those PCI units with the attached antennas means
that it's hidden behind your mostly metal PC. The proximity of the antenna
I've never had a phone that would hold a charge that long
while taking continuously. I'm doubtful.
Talking isn't the problem, using the menus (screen being on and backlit) or
having Bluetooth on is a killer though. Colour screens can easily use more
power than the radio transmitter/receiver.

What is a VLK licence, by the way?
It is a Volume license, probably made with a key generator, which
were the ones WGA was targeting.

All said and done, less then an hour. I get paid at least an hour as

Wow. Mine is a Verizon, so not having the newer G3 or GSM or whatever must
really hurt.
I just checked the website and they claim up to 200 minutes talk time, so
almost 3 hours..
I've never had it last that long though in real use.
