Well I just was in the position of needed an external 3.5 case so I searched and agonized, finally choosing to get a IcyDock & a AMS Venus DS3. I tested the no-fan Icy first and found it ran <40C under continous disk usage for hours so I put the unopened fan equiped DS3 up on eBay. Would recomm
