OEM is still real. Unless of course, you are caught in the Matrix. :)

I am currently downloading Server 2008 from MSDN subscriber downloads.
Waiting on Vista SP1 to show up there. Supposed to be on TechNet also.

Dunno--image compression/resolution? PDF Factory, for its part, has an
option to specify the compression level and resolution of image data...that
can, obviously, make a huge difference.

I've been using PDF995 for sometime now and I downloaded and tried
doPDF - the test document I did went from 300K with PDF995 to 40K
with doPDF - pretty amazing, unless I'm missing some critical

Sorry, I am not clear.
Would like to run them both on a W2000Pro OS.
On same machine.
One is from 1998 and the newer edition is from 2006.
They both install with the same start up.
I can install the newer program but it will overwrite the old one.

I have a newer program I want to install but I would like to still be
able to use the old version.
What is the best way to do this?
Sam
Update to this discussion. Microsoft released their SteadyState tool
for XP which greatly simplifies the task of locking down a system.
Everything from completely locked down library computers to
mildly-locked down normal user machines.

Ben,
I do appreciate your bold position. I even acknowledge that you have a
greater grasp on this OS business. Perhaps I am not so paranoid, but rather
I am very curious about what goes on with my machines. Yes, based on my
very limited understanding of the OS I chose to use, except for many ye
