The Partner Connect D/L said it was good for three installs.
I figured I'd go (below) and read up on it more.
I had some trouble with FF (as expected I guess,
I forgot about this before too) but FF gave me a install
key anyway.
I went back with IE and it gave me two more keys and THEN

Well when you close off a valid choice so flippantly, someone will speak up!
Unless you're on X58, Nvidia artificially prevents SLI for anything but their
chipsets. Say what you want today about not EVER doing SLI/CF, but it may be a
consideration later and I did not want to lock myself out nor
LOL. I was waiting on one of these.

Raul,
Thanks. But, for now I believe I will just leave well enough alone. After
I complete my normal 6mo. Infant Mortality period, I may do some moderate
tweaks. For now, all is very, very well.

Greg,
Thanks. I figured it was normal and nothing to worry about. BTW, thanks
for the push to C2D and the newer Intel chipset(s). All 3 sets are running
completely solid!

I wouldn't recommend doing that though. You don't gain any speed, but do
consume more power and emit more heat.

I just do not know ATM. I can wait for Greg to chime in on this one.
It could well be the EPM-6 engine thingy of the m/b. I did sit and watch
the new tool for several minutes, and, there were several times the CPU
speed jumped to 3.0GHz for a short spike and then back to ~2.0GHZ.
As I said
Bino,
I currently have a p4 3GHz (OC'ed to 3.15GHz) system with an AGP 7800GS
video card in it and 2GB RAM. In the performance rating in Vista, my lowest
rating is for my CPU. With this setup, Call of Duty - World at War is
pretty much unplayable at the installed settings at 800x600. I am able

Me again,
Looking back over my original questions, I really meant to ask should I wait
for the GTX 295 to be released to get a 280 or 285.
Well, the release has happened. From what I can tell, the SRP of the 285s
appears to be about $400. I found one somewhere and IIRC, it was about
$375.
