Anyone using Windows 7 they got from a Torrent? Looks like the most
common torrents for it had a built in botnet.

I started to download it that way but failed to find a clean copy. Since
then I have downloaded the official version and installed it on my game
box. Unfortunately, its less compatible than Vista with the software I
use but works better and faster. I really like it because of the
improvements
Shame people can't take the time to just verify the hash with the official
site.
I was psyched to load it on my Lenovo x200t tablet but then found there were
several drivers not available yet, including for audio and the tablet
functions. But I can't wait to get it working.
Have you tried the software with the XP compatibility mode they have
included with W7? You have to download it as an extra, but it is effectively
a XP Virtual Machine specifically for problem applications that didn't like
Vista, and won't like W7.

I think the biggest problem will be supporting (effectively) two OS's

Well I'm still new to it but XP mode won't work with Furmark or Crisis
because of 3D acceleration issues. Furmark won't load at all and forces
me to reboot to get my desktop back and Crisis has large black streaks
running vertically down from the top of the screen. Good idea though.

Bigger problem for people is still the same. Some drivers (xp drivers) will
not install in vista/win7. So, for example, dentists who camera shot hardware
can't upgrade past xp right now because no driver support.

The point behind W7's XPM is for Line of Business (LOB) apps at
organizations that are entrenched and were an impediment to migrating to
Vista. 3D acceleration was never a goal, nor was hardware compatibility.
For that, it should work wonderfully.

Anyone use any free tools to recover the local admin password from a win2k

Thanks!
Yeah, Intel has been in the news a lot lately and their poor decisions
are costing them dearly. Japan, Korea and now the EU have concluded that
they are anti-competitive. Next year I believe AMD will get their shot
in court and I predict that Intel will again be held accountable.

Another thing to try:
I have some WIN2k SP4 and WINXP SP2 systems where my DOS program works
perfectly fine after it opens in Full Screen, but in WINXP SP3, the
program displays fine, but ordinary (single alphanumeric) keyboard entry
is unresponsive.
WINDOWS' CTRL+KEY and ALT+KEY combinations DO work, however.
