Blah blah, not selling me on that Winerlight! The simple fact that
Valve jumped ship from Windows says a lot about what Redmond is up to.
There is ZERO reason to switch to 8 from 7 or Vita for that matter and
10 is on borrowed time until it's vetted as reversing 8's mistakes
like metro the app
Question is what file are you prevent from restoring? Must be
something in the logs about it. Could be the very action that hid
the files is what's preventing their restore. I'm sure this message
mean the files in question (that won't restore) ARE in the restore but
write is being blocked.

I don't think System Restore restores all files - it isn't an

It restores everything back to what it was. It restores changed
files. I have never had it not work.
It replaces user files with old copies?

Good point. A SMART test would be worth doing as well.

And why in the hell in the prime of Android would you want a windows

I hate to call you on this Winterlight, but this just isn't
true. The 8 works better on older hardware is just wrong. I work
on a lot of different machines - 25-40 a week, and I see a lot of 8
machines. I haven't seen one that outperformed a similar Windows 7
machine, and the odd problems
I have run the CHKDSK with no errors detected. I know what S.M.A.R.T.
means but is it part of Windows Administrator tools or do I need to
get/buy a third party application?
Thank you for your help.

It's CLI likely needs administrator rights.

You're going to deny MS goal is to lock the platform up? You don't see
xbox as the perfect testing ground it is to root out rooting? ;-)
Boo hoo so Android isn't iOS or Windows simple polished but it's a
hell of a lot more open customizable with stock (or branded)
interface replaceable so you
