For some time there has been a conflict between Microsoft Office 2007 and
some HP printers. I've heard that MS put out a patch for Office that
created the problem. So far as I know, neither side has fixed the problem,
saying it is the responsibility of the other.. See the discussion below:

While I would really like to support HP, sadly I am now in the Brother camp.
I use a Brother 2070N. I suspect it has been replaced with another M/N
that does what you need.
Might be worth a look. I don't do HP for a variety of reasons. :)

When we bought my wife's Macbook a year or so ago they were offering a $100
rebate on the HP Photosmart Express C3180 (which was $100). I can't say if
it's good or bad on ink usage, but it works like a champ for B/W or color
copies, prints, and scans.
