Here are some random thoughts on the question of whether to charge for video and DVD rentals: The public library in the town where I lived in New Jersey before 1987 charged a dollar or two for a two or three day rental. The Trumbull Library currently charges $1.00 for a two day rental of "popular"

Some alternative ideas... * Rather than charging a rental fee there can be a suggested donation. It may sound like semantics, but anyone who is really opposed to the donation does not have to make it and can still take their video selection with them. * Make money on consession. Charge
