A teacher asked me if I know of a book about (or by) a woman in the
Middle East who was doing research to prove that the Jews do not have
a claim to Eretz Yisrael but, in the course of her work, discovered
that the opposite is true. Does anyone know the name of this book?
Many thanks!

Hi,
I am an academic librarian with a few years of experience.
I am interested in making Aliyah to Israel as soon as possible...
Does anyone know of any librarian jobs that are currently available in Israel?

Dear Safranim,
I am buying fiction books for my synagogue library and David
Liss turned up with a few new books. In the beginning he wrote with
Jewish content. Will someone please let me know which of his books
have Jewish content and which don't. The reviews don't mention
that.
To all my Friends:
My e-mail address has been changed.
My new e-mail: hava.ben...@att.net
Thank you for your patience.

Hi all,
I am most likely going to be the victim of a $90,000 budget cut, so
I'm looking for a new position. If anyone knows of any openings in
the Baltimore area, please be in touch. Alternatively, if you're able
to help me network and possibly connect me with others who are in
the loop,
Really superb, Heidi.
Thank you.
I'm very glad that we've become an ALA affiliate. I'm hoping that this
will be as positive influence in the ALA world.

My new book, Reading Michael Chabon, might be of interest to some on
this list. This first guide to the preeminent Jewish American writer
of his generation charts the increasing and explicit
Jewish-centeredness of Chabon's life and work from the pivotal seder
in Wonder Boys and Jewish comic
