We are currently inputting our collection at Sinai Temple library in to Library Thing. It is quite straightforward. If we see the title but not the edition, there is an option to add another edition. We can not modify the subject headings that are established on the records, so to add

Dear Melinda, In general I prefer to combine the non-fiction. Thinking about the patrons, children who are selecting their own books can self-select appropriate reading and sophistication levels. As you know, reading and comprehension levels vary considerably at any age or grade level.
