HUC-LA is located near downtown Los Angeles. Since we are almost
surrounded by fires (to the west, north-west, north-east, east and
south-east - most 30-60 miles away) our air is pretty smokey and sooty.
One staff member did have to evacuate her home, but so far is doing
well. Besides worrying
Fred, Thanks for your concern about our Southern California members
being affected by the fires.
So far, I haven't heard of any problems. We in the central Los
Angeles and San Fernando Valley have not been affected -
fortunately! The worst hit have been all around us. We see the
smoke but
The fires in Southern California have concerned me, as I'm sure they
have many other AJL members
Can someone tell us all whether any of you have been evacuated? I
haven't heard about any towns or cities being critically threatened,
but that doesn't mean the suburbs are out of danger.
