I'm having a similar (related?) problem. I have the sitealizer plugin
installed, and just recently when I login with correct credentials to
view sitestats it says "App starting..." even when app was working
fine. The interesting thing that I notice is an endless loop going to
the "App starting..
Great, I'll give it shot!

Hello,
So I've been able to upload the gem, and it still gives me the same
error message on my application "mongrel failed to start properly,
missing dependencies will_paginate", so I tried it again, but still
the same thing.
Any idea what the problem is?
Thanks,
David Pham

Bump! Are there plans to add SSL support? I'd really like to use HTTPS
for login pages.
An absence of SSL coupled with the slow move to 2.1 could be a deal
breaker for some - Otherwise a great app.

Seems we're having some issues with that too right now. If you're
using the heroku client gem to work locally, you could install the
gem in vendor/gems locally, commit and push it back up. Otherwise,
please stay tuned while we work on fixing this.

I build them gem but now when I try and upload it, Heroku gives me an

Any ideas?

Looks like you were able to resolve this? I see a user account in
there for that email address, but please let us know if you're still

David,
We're looking into this now. There seems to be some general problems
with gem installation right now. If you need to get them up there
right now, I'd suggest building the gem from the github source and
uploading it as an immediate workaround.

For now you have to use 2.0.2, but we plan on supporting 2.1 very soon.

Guys, been a beta member for a while, but this is the first time I
have actively used the service. Great job on the UI, btw. Now, I am
getting an internal error (nothing in view source) with no logging at
my service level. So, a few questions here:

Okay, my data's back so I'm happy I didn't lose too much time on
this. But I'm still concerned and want to understand what happened.

Same here. It's just a prototype, so not much data but it's certainly
inconvenient to recreate it. Sounds like some of you had your data
restored magically? I don't want to waste my time recreating if this
is a "glitch" that will be fixed/restored relatively quickly. I'm

The same happened to me this morning. Both bible.heroku.com and

That was a bit harsh. I had the same question, after all, if you don't
want to route everything or try out a php.erb combination for some
reason it could be interesting. Or if you already have a php site
going but are transitioning into rails you can use the languages
simultaneously? Just an idea.

My app's db died this morning (no valuable data lost), then I
remigrated to a new one, the old one was restored, and now it died
again.
How did the snapshot help if the db was down?

Hi,
Last Thursday and again this morning I've logged into heroku to find
my database completely missing. (No tables, no data) the code is still
all there . I've been able to restore from the last snapshot so no
harm done, just wondering what the story is?

The logs/ dir are the raw files, whereas the Log tab tries to parse
the recent entries in development.log and present them in a
web-friendly fashion.
