I would suggest observing your
stainer to ensure the proper drop zones are being performed and not just
dropping closest to the label. I used Dako for years and loved them but you do
have to make sure it dispenses properly from time to time. They use drop zones
unlike Ventana which

it even gets to formalin. That can also be a source of edge effect.
