Hello, I am a small GI lab and our facility is moving to a brand new building!
The building has yet to be built so I have full control on how to design my
lab. I will have about 1000-1500 sq ft. I was just wondering if anyone had
any tips for me? One thing I want to change is the type of
Can anyone help me out with the artifact I am getting on my slides? It is on
all of them, IHC, H, specials. It looks like formalin pigment, but I use
10%NBF so should I really be getting formalin pigment this much on my slides?
I am a GI lab. I use microwave processing. Specimens are held
or open attachments if you do not recognize the sender. **
I received it. I have had the same problem lately. I didn't get a copy of the
email sent. It would be nice to know that it was received. Think they changed
their format.

I keep trying to send an email for help with an issue I am having and its not
going through. It says the email has been sent but I am not getting the email
and no one has responded. I am testing to see if this message goes through.

Does anyone happen to have or know where to get HSV I and II and CMV control
blocks? The control slides are so expensive and it would be so much easier to
have a block that will last a long time and give me many for slides.
Thanks!!

I am looking to install a small DI system or reverse osmosis system in my small
GI lab. We are bringing IHC in house and I thought it would be cheaper and
easier in the long run to have a DI system. I am not sure what type to get
though. There are so many out there. I don't want anything
Is nuclear fast red the only counter stain for Prussian blue stain? I have a
Masson's trichrome kit and was wondering if the Bierbech Scarlet could be a
counterstain. I won't be doing the iron stain very often at all so I am trying
to keep dry reagents on hand to make up as needed so they do

Hello all,
I am having issues with my trichrome stain and I am about to lose my mind! We

trichrome by hand for years so I am not a stranger to it. And I never had
issues with it). When I brought it in house at my current
Hello everyone. I was wondering if any small, GI labs do IHC's in house and if
so what platforms you use. I am just researching right now to see if it would
be worth it to do in house or not. I know a lot of these instruments and
reagents are expensive so I would be looking for the most

I've been having this problem for a month or so. It is very humid in my lab
right now because of the weather here so I am very cautious about changing and
rotating everything everyday. But I am having issues with water being in the
first slide of the first run everyday! Its so weird! That
