new Global warning labels that were to replace the NFPA labels we currently use
for our chemicals. Is everyone using these or can we still use the NFPA label

I agree with you. Ours seem to short out as well. I now only purchase the baths
that have a separate Pyrex glass insert. They also provide more of an "edge"

Anyone have any solution to a week Congo Red? I use Rowley Congo red, 1%
aqueous order # S0-496. our procedure is Benholds and I cut at 5-6 microns. And

I really have nothing bad to say about the benchmark. We love ours; it has
freed us from having to nurse the IHC bench. You load it and walk away. If
there was a down side I would say that the antibodies are a bit on the higher

had accounts that we would gross, section, stain and coverslip. We then send

I disagree, the slide is what was used to make the diagnosis. The block may
not be a good representation of the actual slide, it may could have been cut so
that what is on the original slide is no longer in the block. In Surgical path
we keep our slides indefinitely and our blocks for 10 years.
We had one and we really didn't use it often enough to justify the cost. Maybe
2 or 3 stains benefited from it, otherwise waterbath and incubators were the
preferred method for most of us.

My issue with the plastic disposable molds is that when you need to re-embed
and melt the block down, the mold will curl and lose its shape just enough
to impede cutting the second time around.
