I have a question Lac Z staining and BetaGalactosidase IHC. The Lac-Z stain is
enzyme dependent, so it must be fresh/frozen for the reaction to work. Is
this also true for the betagalactosidase IHC? The target of the antibody is
the enzyme, but I am not sure if the enzyme need to be active

there any studies out there that indicate histotechs are less healthy than the

the extraction, just the prep. If anyone else is doing this, I would greatly

We work with mice and do a variety of fixatives, but we prefer a
methanol/acetic acid fixative. It holds the shape of the eye very well,
although it may not show the Schlemm's canal as well as other fixatives.

I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a Jones/PAMS stain that is
not working properly. This is something we don't do often. The last time we
did it was a year and a half ago, and it seemed fine at the time.
We have tried 3 or 4 protocols, including an ammoniacal silver, and it
