[Histonet] Nissl Stain P0 Mouse Head

Hi, I am having some trouble with Nissl staining newborn (P0) mouse heads/hindbrain. The nissl stain appears very faint in the centre of my sections. (Paraffin embedded, 7um thick) Is this likely to be a penetration issue? I fixed in 4% PFA O/N before processing - Would that affect it? I left

Hi Histo-lovers! I am planning on doing some nissl staining on neonatal mouse brain, to identify the trigeminal ganglion. Does anyone have a nissl stained atlas of mouse brain @ P0 (newborn) ? Has anyone had experience with this before? If so, would you mind sharing any tips? -- Kevin
