Good afternoon Histonet!
Does anyone have any experience repairing a precious TMA block that was damaged
by heat? Part of the block is okay but half was exposed to heat and experienced
some melting which misaligned some cores and has the block on a slant. We know
that this has probably happened
Hello Histonet!
Can anyone share their protocol for cutting frozen section (rolls) that will be
used for RNA sequencing downstream much like this nature article:

The only direction we have been given is to cut the sections at 100 microns.

Hello Histonetters!
I'm looking to gather histotech's experience with Thermo Scientific's
HistoStar embedding workstation. I am very familiar with Sakura and think
it's top notch as far as service and support and, especially, longevity.
How does everyone feel the HistoStar compares with the Tissue
I would say it is highly dependent on the antibody and application you are
using. We don't fix any of our frozen tissue and no antigen retrieval is
necessary. However, whenever we receive specimens that have been through a
full FFPE process then, yes, the same antibody requires some antigen

Hello List,
I suspect it may be a lost cause (since processing likely kills the antigen
site) but has anyone had any luck with IF staining for C3 on FFPE tissue? I
know frozen is ideal but occasionally, we need to revert to the FFPE
sample.
Best,
Kristyn
