Hi everyone,
Has anyone encountered the cross reactivity of CMV and HSV1&2 in human
placental tissue? We had a patient case that stained positive for these
antibodies in the same tissue section. My antibody specification sheets state
that there is no cross reactivity, but I have found
Hi everyone,
Are any labs using the monoclonal p40 antibody for myoepithelial cell staining
in breast tissue? The pathologist that I work with has me testing this antibody
to be used to differentiate between lung squamous and adenocarcinoma, but is
also wondering if labs are using it on breast
Hi everyone,
I'm looking into ordering the p40 antibody for one of our pathologists. He

Hi Everyone,
I'd like some input as to what labs are using as a procedure for this antibody.
Is enzyme digestion or a form of antigen retrieval with heat used? What
dilution and detection system do you use as well as what type of machine is it
run on?
Thanks for the info,
Jean Taylor, HT
Hi Everyone,
Our pathologists are interested in using this antibody to detect metastatic
renal cell carcinoma in paraffin sections. They are not interested in an
antibody cocktail, but also want to use it to detect prostate cancer. I'd like
to know what company and clone most labs are using.
Hi Everyone,
I'd like to know how many labs batch their controls when the same antibody is
ordered on multiple cases. Do you run the control on a separate slide, or with
one of the cases ordered?
Thank you!

Hi Everyone,
I would like to hear (pros and cons) from labs that have this instrument or
have looked at it. We currently use 2 of the oldest Dako autostainers and are
in need of updating. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Everyone,
The pathologist that I work with wanted me to add that the CMV that we're
staining for is in the GI tract, and he's wondering if there is a different
clone/procedure that labs use for this?
Thanks again!!
