We used to put them in a large stainless steel basin, with a little bit of
Alconox brand detergent. Fill the basin with hot water and bring to a boil on
a hotplate. Turn it off, let the water cool for a couple of hours and all the
paraffin would rise to the top and solidify. Just pick the par
to the xylene fumes (that would required addition freaking paperwork)
followed by a 100% etoh rinse, followed by air drying.

We throw ours in a pot with a little soap in the bottom and boil, unplug
and let the paraffin harden. Just take the paraffin disk off and rinse the
molds in cold water and lay out to dry. No reason to gunk up the expensive
tissue processor.
