Subject: [Histonet] Sanderson's rapid bone stain + Acid
Hi All -
I am trying to figure out if the combination of Sanderson's rapid bone stain
and acid fuchsin as the counterstain (or methylene blue + basic fuchsin)
results in pink/red staining of biologically formed apatite (apatite not
associated with collagen produced by osteoblasts)? An
Regarding the counterstain for use with Sanderson's Rapid Bone Stain,
I use the Van Gieson picrofuchsin in that it will stain older, mature,

I've just had confirmation that Dorn Hart Microedge, Inc in Chicago
will be taking over the manufacture and supply of Sanderson's RBS. Stain
It was good hear that RBS was being picked up and sold by Dorn and Hart, but

Hello, I posted earlier regarding the Sanderson's Rapid Bone stain. I forgot
to mention that I will be using this stain on 75-100 micron thick ground
sections embedded in Technovit 7200 plastic.
I am also wondering about paraffin staining using this stain.
Here's one response so far:
What is the tissue? What are your endpoints?
