Cristi Rigazio asks: I was wondering if there are any tertiary institutions
out there that have set a benchmark for reprocessing tissue? We tend to be
less than 1%, but would love to see what others think is reasonable.<<
This grumpy old pathologist sez: If I'm the one doing the grossing, I don't
and hope you all are having an excellent day!

We try to be at 0.5% or less. We monitored as a quality indicator for several
years and had to modify something to get to that point, but it is pretty steady
now. We have new residents constantly rotating into pathology so it is a
training issue every month.
