Using C++ 2005 Express it wouldn't compile. It's a simple fix though!
Change this for both debug and release. Check both server and client as well.
Configuration Properties -> C/C++ -> Browse Information -> Browse File
Change $(IntDir)\ to $(IntDir)/

anyone know any good (freeware) tools that can tell detect differences
in files so I know which new files I'll need to replace/copy from?

I've used Winmerge (http://winmerge.org/) quite a bit. It's nor
perfect but does the job in most cases.

to merging files from the old sdk to the new sdk, I use a program
called KDIFF3 http://kdiff3.sourceforge.net/.
Kdiff3 at this time has problems working on windows. I usually dual
boot to fedora core 5 and run kdiff3 from there.
Not sure if this meets everyone's needs, but Subversion has their
differencing code.

Will the code be released as active SDK on 11/8 as originally planned?
The reason I am asking is because if it is released as active on 11/8
then I probably won't use the beta, but just wait until tomarrow to
get the active update.
