Here's something to consider:
Right now there are no "secure" CS:S servers. What do you think the VAC
development team might be working on right now?
Regardless of the many arguments that the cheat-complainers will
make...I've noticed that they complain much less when VAC is updated
frequently.

Oh, come on Dave!
If Valve cared, they wouldn't leave it months between VAC updates if they did.
Hell, both STEAM and CS update more often than VAC bloody well does!!!
Nick Shaffner used to be quite active in the STEAM Powered VAC forums, and

It would actually be the smart thing to do!

Hey there dudes,
Is there any way to get some form of ID for CS:Source without having the
rcon password? Getting users to submit demos and ID's for cheaters

This is OT, and pretty boring as it has been done to death. If you're
unhappy with cheats, you can play a different game, or hope Valve fix it -
they've devoted a pretty large chunk of resources to trying to stop it and
its obviously a large factor in their content distribution plan, so trying

Man it's really bad right now too. My admins and I ban several people

Don't get me wrong here, I appreciate the development of new games and all.
But is anything going to be done about the amount of cheating in the Valve
games. It's getting REAL old cycling through servers trying to find a place
that DON'T have speedhackers, aimbots, etc. Out of all the money STEAM

I am in agreement with you, except for "I would not condone using
anything from torrent."
I use bittorrent to download patches for servers. Would you condone
that?
Perhaps you should have worded it, "I would not condone using anything
downloaded anonymously from a cheats site."

Im not picking on anybody specifically, but the object is not to pick on
somebody just cuz they can beat you royally, but to catch them using
hacks or cheats that make it unfair for the gaming community in general.

Not to mention , these guys probably run spyware in your computer

I just signed up for SteamBans. They have over 1300 bans currently. They do
not rely on detection software like VAC or HLGuard, admins record demos in a
very specific manner and submit the evidence that is reviewed by the admins
of the site. When they issue a ban the offending player is banned on e
There's a lot of dopey users around that'd fall for this, though it's a
