I switched back to OP4 and so far it's been rock solid. I did extensive
memory and disk diags, found no problems, wiped linux partition and
reinstalled
the whole stinking mess. I'm extremely pleased with
performance! So far my tests indicates that win32 hlds running under
wine/kde/linux is comparab

How many people are getting errors on server start-up and map changes
with the new source dedicated server? My source servers work fine,
players don't seem to notice anything wrong at all, just loads of errors
in the server console.
On server start up I get the following.

OK - so I recently got involved in administering a Day of Defeat
server. The server has been up for literally only a week now. We had a
couple of quiet days while settings were still being tinkered with and
map lists being decided, but then the other afternoon (uk time) the
server steadily filled
I setup Windows Media Player to run as a service under the same local
account as my game servers. sys_ticrate functions normally now.

Either that or have an autocfg to make sys_ticrate 100 for all servers.
