I have posted here and very patient and you have had some great insight in the
past. But this last series of client Updates has really been a pain.
I am running AMD 3200+, WinX64 Pro, 1 Gig o
Make sure you have the Mani update to version S that was released yesterday
after the patch. It's a text file that has something to do with the model
chosing. Somehow, the plugin was forcing models onto clients or something.

Alfred, I don't understand why again tonight when I start Steam...I am
having to go through that ultra-slow client update again. Seems like it is
forcing the same survey update every day. Not sure if you are aware of this
recurrance. Thanks

I have not updated my servers with the latest steam
updates since they were "optional" updates and not
required for players to connect and play on their HL 1
engine servers.
I only updated one for testing purposes.
However, I started getting complaints for DOD Servers
only that are not updated ab

This sounds like you might have bad content in your CS:S GCF cache (client
problem), do a verify:

Check for it again... You'll either want to fix the model (it's telling
you exactly what the problem with the model is, bad texture), or just
try removing model checking via mp_consistency 0

I'm guessing that you have a custom terrorist skin installed?
If so, remove it or disable the model enforcer in Mani.

Hiya, sorry if I've missed it somewhere, try adding the -vacport
and try a few variations. I normally keep them a few ports
lower than the normal query port. May not be this, but I've had to do
that on a few servers.
