I ran hldsupdatetool on my server, but it didn't download any files, even
with -beta scrmp0104. I even did a verify_all. Are the beta files still
available?

It's a beta. It's liable to have bugs and other problems. You downloaded the
beta and knew it might not work. It didn't work, so now I keep seeing your
spam all over. Stop spamming my inbox please.
Thanks.

He said it was config related, but it isn't.

Also I noticed the fog bug found in the 8800 series has been partially
fixed but still appears on objects just seems to be farther back now.

We are four people now who tested it. Everyone is getting this hl2.exeerror!
Some are in the menu for some seconds, but the game crashes for everyone
after a cetain amount of time.
Tried to verify the files, didn't help at all!

Oh client, thought you meant the server. Perhaps verify the install files?

Are you running any mods on the server? If so, disable them and see if the
error goes away.

Alfred,
Thankyou so much for running a beta, rather than a straight update. This
really does mean a lot to plugin makers, service providers and server
operators. This is really appreciated. If you keep releasing betas first, a
lot of people can be kept very happy!
Thanks,
