Yes, I think all of us are aware of that. I deal with numbers and databases,
admining using names/partials can lead to trouble and is impossible when
attempting to ban ascii names.
Thats the point of inane name changes, weak rage attempts to fluster admins.

console info.. close your console and return you into the game
we use hlsw along with source mod / beetles mod.. and use the global
player ID database quite a bit. aslong as you've got it collecting the
logs, it dont matter how many times or how fast they change the name..
aslong as you can remember 1 of the names they used just go find it in
the database
for sure he is thinking based on the custom tab system ... better
complicated than easy

Point is, you can't depend on banning by name. The best way to do this for
now is to do it by steam_id.
If the plans are still as they were in December of last year, the older
games will be ported to the orange box engine. Once they do, I believe the
names will be locked down like they are in TF
If they keep changing their name, it's safe to assume they are a cheater or
at the very least, doing something naughty.
