Quoting extra text is good for the economy. Extra

could you do most of us a favor and STOP quoting ALL text for every

If you need to quote please only quote the part which is necessary.
I don't even want to ask that you quote first and than reply.. which
makes also a lot more sense

Don
This would indeed be nice but I fear you have too many idiots on this
list who will full quote just to spite you :(

Anyone who's been on a mailing list before should know to not bother
telling other people how they should/shouldn't post. :/
If you're really having so much trouble decrypting our posts, then feel
free to just ignore them.

Nope he has a point,
Let's just do it Don's way from now on.

Personally I find it extremely annoying to go through the jungle of
quoted text just to find couple precious words of wisdom buried in
there. I'm not damn Indiana Jones, I'm just lazy admin.
And I don't really care about people quoting too much - Gmail just
hides it, maybe you should get decent
I agree 100% with Don, but you probably won't see it happen.
The thing to note is that to increase the probability that somebody will
read/respond to your posts is:
+ to keep the quoted content to a minimum
+ to respond ABOVE the quoted text, not below.
People will continue to do what is most
Gmail messes up sometimes when other software quotes text in obscure
ways. For example, somebody yesterday had each word in a quote on its
own new line. Sometimes strange headers don't get blocked too.

Gmail automagically hides the quoted text. Surely if it's such a big problem
some of you could invest into an email application that does the same.
